Rating History for Zucchini Fritters

problem:
Since only registered users are able to rate a recipe, many recipes have to stay in the ranking lists with only one vote. If this recipe coincidentally has 5 stars ((1x5)/1=5) in a search (by rating) this recipe would end up on the top even though there might be other recipes with more votes, however, not consistent. (e.g. 5x5 stars and 1x4 star = (5x5)+(1x4)/ 6=4,83~). These recipes end up further down unfortunately.

solution:
This rating system is based on an inactive voting mechanism. We assign 2.5 stars at the beginning for each recipe, however invisible for the user. If a recipe then gets a vote with 5 stars, the result is the following: ((2x2,5)+(1x5)=3,33~)
