Pasta with Garlic Basil Pesto

Very garlicky and full of flavour - to be used straight away with your pasta

Ingredients

500 g Linguine pasta
  For the pesto:
100 g pine nuts
100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
200 ml olive oil
1 bunch(es) fresh basil leaves
4 clove(s) garlic

Method

Preparation time: ca. 5 min / Cooking / Baking Time: ca. 15 min / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

Combine fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese and olive oil in an electric blender and blend well together. If you do not have an electric blender you can also use a bowl and a handheld blender.

Cook the pasta al dente. Drain the pasta and place back into the pot. Add some pesto into the pasta and use a knife and fork to mix the pasta with the pesto. Place equal portions on four plates and serve.

Serve with fresh bread.

It must be mentioned that the garlic flavour is indeed very strong. So if you love Pesto but prefer a more subtle taste then only use 2 or even only 1 clove of garlic.
