Layered Ham and Pineapple Salad

Ingredients

1 large can(s) pineapples, diced
2 handful peas
carrots, grated
200 g freshly grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 head(s) lettuce, sliced
1 large can(s) corn, drained
200 g ham, diced
  salt and freshly ground black pepper
hard boiled eggs, peeled and sliced
7 tbsp mayonnaise

Method

Preparation time: ca. 20 min / Cooking / Baking Time: ca. 5 min Resting time: ca. 4 hrs / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

Cook the peas in salted water until soft. Drain. Season with salt and pepper. Allow to cool. Strain the pineapples and collect the juice.

Pour the peas into a glass bowl. Add in layers carrots, lettuce, corn, ham and pineapples and top with the egg slices.

Mix together the mayonnaise and some tablespoons of the pineapple juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the salad. Cool for 4 hours.

Serve sprinkled with the cheese.
