German Buttermilk Soup

Ingredients

1 l buttermilk
250 g green beans
200 g potatoes, diced
200 ml single cream
  salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Method

Preparation time: ca. 20 min Resting time: ca. 1 hr / Grade of difficulty: medium / Calories per portion: n/a

In a saucepan, just cover the potatoes and the green beans with salted water, bring to a boil and cook until soft. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.

Pour in the buttermilk and the single cream and bring to the boil again. Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
