Ingredients

1 tbsp butter
700 g cabbage, shredded
2 medium carrots, peeled, sliced
3 medium potatoes, peeled, cubed
1 medium onion, chopped
bay leaf
500 ml vegetable broth
1 l milk
  salt and pepper, to taste

Method

Preparation time: ca. 20 min / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

Melt butter in a large saucepan, add cabbage, carrots, potatoes, onion and bay leaf and stir to coat with butter.

Cover and simmer over low heat 20 minutes, stirring once or twice.

Add broth and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Discard bay leaf.

Heat milk separately and then add to the pan. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir occasionally and serve when heated through and vegetables are tender.
