Ingredients

1 head(s) red cabbage, grated
cooking apples, peeled, cored, sliced
3 tbsp butter
2 1/2 tsp flour
240 ml red wine vinegar
100 g brown sugar
90 ml dry red whine
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp salt

Method

Preparation time: ca. 20 min / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

Steam cabbage until tender. Drain well. Combine cabbage with apples and set aside.

Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add flour and stir until smooth.

Bring to a simmer, and add remaining ingredients. Keep stirring frequently, until sauce begins to thicken. Add cabbage and apples and toss until mixed. Continue to cook for 10 more minutes.
