Ingredients

8 head(s) kohlrabi, peeled, sliced
2 medium carrots, peeled, sliced
500 ml chicken broth
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp grated lemon rind
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp butter

Method

Preparation time: ca. 10 min / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

In a medium saucepan cook kohlrabi and carrots in the chicken broth until crisp or just tender, about 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.

I made this with LOTS less kohrabi and fewer carrots; the taste was gtreat, but I needed about 1-1/2 tsp of lemon zest and about 4 tbsp each of honey and lemon juice to get much true honey flavor. We had gotten the produce from our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture, a "share" in a local farm's crops) and didn't care for the raw kohrabi, so this recipe was a GREAT alternative!
