Toffee Butter Crunch
| 230 g | butter |
| 170 g | sugar |
| 1 tbsp | corn syrup |
| 3 tbsp | water |
| 150 g | almonds, blanched, chopped |
| 500 g | chocolate, melted |
Method
Melt butter in a large saucepan. add sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Stir in chopped nuts and spread in into well-greased pan. Cool thoroughly.
Turn out on waxed paper and spread top with half the melted chocolate. Sprinkle with half the finely chopped nuts and cover with waxed paper; invert. Spread again with remaining chocolate and sprinkle top with remaining nuts.
