Ingredients

500 g minced beef
120 ml single cream or milk
1 medium egg, beaten
3 clove(s) garlic, minced
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper
1 small onion, diced
100 g tomatoes, chopped
180 g Cheddar cheese, grated

Method

Preparation time: ca. 20 min / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Mix together the beef, cream or milk, beaten egg, garlic, salt, pepper, basil, thyme and oregano.

Press into a pie pan and leave to rest in refrigerator.

Sauté the onions in a bit of oil until soft.

Add onions and tomatoes to the pie pan. Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake uncovered for 30–40 minutes.

I made it a second time using just one clove of garlic and no cream. Rather than put the onions and tomato on top, I mixed them with the other ingredients. I baked for 30 minutes and then added the cheese and baked for a further 10 minutes. Enjoyed by all.

Cheese? Cream/milk?
Why not add strawberry jam? It can't get any more disgusting than that.
