A basic recipe for syrup is this for example: http://www.cooksunited.co.uk/recipes/624361259001396/Vanilla-Syrup.htmlMaybe leave out the vanilla as the Fudge asks for vanilla anyway. I have never tried it with honey. It could be just as nice really. Variations are always possible and usually happen due to personal preferences or what you have in the house when preparing a meal. Why don't you give it a try and post your result? Alexia

I didnt know what syrup was either! you need to explain things a bit clearer rather than having to go off and check a recipe to make "syrup"
This recipe is a lot of effort for just a bit of plain old fudge sorry.
This fudge recipe is much easier and nicer yum yum go to http://www.cooksunited.co.uk/recipes/610251244562058/Creamy-Fudge.html

No worries! I agree with you that I hadn't been very clear about the syrup. But you canuse any syrup you find at the supermarket or make your own (that's why I posted that link for making syrup).
Honey could also be an alternative.
And yes, of course there are other recipes to make fudge and I would also use the recipe that suits me best.

Its a classic and perfect way to make fudge :)
Also I think syrup was very clear and you did a very good job of the recipe.
I don't really understand how someone wouldn't know what would constitute as syrup and if you didn't know why you wouldn't google it or something.
Great recipe, thank you VERY much :)
