Yeast Waffles

Ingredients

375 g flour
21 g fresh yeast
75 g sugar
1 pinch(es) salt
eggs
150 g butter, melted
200 g sour cream
100 ml lukewarm water
portions

Method

Preparation time: ca. 15 min / Grade of difficulty: medium / Calories per portion: n/a

Pass the flour through a sieve.

In a bowl combine half of the flour, crumbled yeast, some of the sugar and the water. Let rest for 15 minutes.

Add the rest of the sugar, salt, eggs, butter and sour cream. Stir well until smooth. Let rest for 30 minutes.

Bake the waffles in a hot waffle iron. They are best fresh, but also very good when cold.

Serve with apple mash or fruit salad.

This is a family favourite for Sunday brunches, only we serve it with Golden or Maple Sirup.

Try this recipe with 42 g fresh yeast and 200g crème fraîche.
