Chickpea Dumplings
Urad Dhal Bajia| 200 g | dried chickpeas |
| 100 g | yogurt |
| 1 piece(s) | onion, chopped |
| chili powder or flakes | |
| fresh coriander | |
| salt | |
| oil for frying |
Method
Soak the chickpeas over night in water. Pour off water and rinse well. Put into blender and add chopped onion, yogurt, seasoning and mash them.
Heat a deep pan with oil and drop table or tea spoon size dumplings into hot oil (depending how big you want them). Fry until they turn brown and start to float.
Put on kitchen paper to shake off excess oil and serve with minted yogurt or any dip. Can be eaten hot or cold.

Is it possible to bake these dumplings? They probably soak a lot of fat when frying. Did you try it?
This recipe sounds very interesting and I will definetely try it out.
Thanks, Sara
