Strawberry and Cherry Compote

Ingredients per portions

450 g red cherries, pitted
1 tbsp cornstarch
100 g sugar
1 dash(es) salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
350 ml water
4 drop(s) red food colouring
400 g strawberries

Method

Combine cornstarch, sugar and salt. Blend water into cornstarch mixture and cook and stir until thickened. Add lemon juice and food coloring.

Halve large strawberries and stir strawberries into the mixture. Spoon into a serving cup.
