Ingredients

6 kg turkey
500 g sweet potatoes, mashed
4 medium onions, finely chopped
400 g croutons
100 g butter, divided
2 tsp poultry seasoning
  salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

Method

Preparation time: ca. 5 min / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

Clean, rinse and pat dry turkey and lightly season with salt and pepper.

Brush cavity and breast with room-temperature butter.

Preparing the stuffing:
Cook the potatoes and mash them with a fork. Add seasonings and melted butter. Mix well and spoon lightly into the cavity of the turkey. Close openings with skewers and lace tightly with strong cord.

Bake turkey at 180°C for at least 1 hour. Baste with pan drippings and and seasoning as desired while baking.
