German Sausage Salad

Dorry's version of German Wurstsalat - it may be fattening, but it sure is delicious!

Ingredients

200 g Lyoner sausage, cut into thin slices, then in stripes
200 g ring-bologna, cut into thin slices, then in stripes
200 g onions, halved, then cut into thin slices
4 tbsp vinegar
8 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 handful lovage, minced
  salt
  black pepper
portions

Method

Preparation time: ca. 30 min / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

Blend vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper well, then add oil and lovage. Add the sausage, stir well, and allow to marinade for about 30 minutes.

To be served with fresh brown bread or fried potatoes and pickled cucumbers.

Excellent recipe, have made it a couple of times.

You don't, by any chance, have the recipe for the loaf of bread that is shown in the photograph?

Glad you like the salad.

I never bake, and I donīt eat much bread, but the thing you see in the picture is called German (or Bavarian) pretzel or pretzel stick. There are some recipes which you can google.
