Red Wine Sorbet
| 230 ml | water |
| 150 g | sugar |
| 350 ml | red wine |
Method
Gently heat the sugar and water in a saucepan. When the sugar dissolves, bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the wine, remove from heat and set aside to cool to room temperature.
Once cold, place the mixture in the refrigerator for at least about 2 hours. Then move to freezer and freeze over night.
To serve leave mixture to thaw a little so that it can be spooned into flute glasses to serve as a fancy dessert.
