Christmas Coffee with a Kick
A delicious drink to round off christmas dinner| 1 ½ l | coffee, black and strong |
| 4 tbsp | sugar |
| 1 | orange, untreated, studded with 3 whole cloves |
| 2 | bay leaves |
| 1 stick(s) | cinnamon |
| 50 ml | Van der Hum, tangerine flavoured liqueur |
| 125 ml | brandy |
| 250 ml | cream |
| ground cinnamon to sprinkle on top | |
| 3 | cloves, whole |
Method
Place coffee, sugar, orange, bay leaves and cinnamon stick into a pot. Warm over low heat so that the flavours blend well. Add Van Der Hum.
Pour Brandy into a soup ladle, heat carefully over the coffee and set alight. Pour the flaming brandy over the coffee.
Pour coffee into mugs or cups. Hold a spoon over the coffee and pour the cream very carefully onto the spoon, so that the cream floats on top of the coffee.
Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top and serve immediately.
