Ingredients

1 l water
400 ml can of sweetened condensed milk, 400g approximately
1 tbsp vanilla powder or essence
3 piece(s) cloves
3 tbsp coffee, freshly ground
300 ml aguardiente, i.e. alcoholic beverage of 40% or higher
portions

Method

Preparation time: ca. 15 min / Grade of difficulty: medium / Calories per portion: n/a

Cook coffee with 200 ml of water. Mix condensed milk with 800 ml of water. Add vanilla, cloves; slowly bring to boil for 3 minutes.

Remove, add coffee, cool and strain.

This mix will keep in the refrigerator until needed. Before serving, add the Aguardiente.

Serve very cold.

Aguardiente means "firewater", literally "burning water". You can choose your favourite, e.g. cachaça, rhum, grappa, tequila, vodka, Doppelkorn.

Cola de Mono means monkey's tail. It goes down sweet and simple, until the strong aguardiente is added, which might lead to monkeying about.
