Ingredients

200 g shortening
1 tbsp powdered sugar
120 ml water
2 tbsp corn syrup
1 tsp butter flavouring
1 tsp vanilla

Method

Preparation time: ca. 30 min / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

Mix together all ingredients for 5 to 10 minutes and beat with a power mixer until very smooth. Water down a small amount for a crumb coat if frosting a cake.

When set, after about 20 minutes, frost with remainder of frosting. Then use paper towel or typing paper to set desired surface texture.

The frosting is fluffy enough to frost easily, yet stiff enough for keeping its shape for decorating if desired.
