Pork Fillets
Gyros Style| 800 g | pork fillets, finely sliced |
| 15 | dried allspice fruits |
| 1 tsp | coriander seeds |
| ½ tsp | rosemary, dried |
| 1 tsp | thyme, dried |
| 1 pinch(es) | cinnamon |
| ½ tsp | paprika, hot |
| ½ tsp | Szechuan peppercorns |
| 1 tsp | oregano, dried |
| 1 tsp | sea salt |
| 1 ½ tsp | cumin seeds |
| 10 leaves | mint, chopped |
| For the marinade: | |
| 5 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
| 6 tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 ½ tbsp | fresh lemon juice |
Method
Roughly grind the spices with a pestle in a mortar.
Combine with the marinade. Add meat strips and mix well together. Marinate covered for about 2 hours in the fridge.
Stir-fry the meat in a large pan in two batches for about 5 minutes or until the meat is just cooked through.
Serve with Tomato-Gyros-Rice and Tzatziki.
