Goulash with Beef and Pork

Ingredients

600 g beef, 3 cm cubes
600 g pork, 3 cm cubes
  vegetable oil
1 1/2 kg onions, roughly chopped
4 clove(s) garlic, chopped
coriander roots, finely chopped
50 g tomato paste
  salt, pepper, allspice, chili, cumin, paprika
350 ml chicken stock
 some flat leaf parsley, chopped

Method

Preparation time: ca. 20 min / Grade of difficulty: easy / Calories per portion: n/a

Brown the meat in oil in a large casserole/Dutch oven in batches. Return all meat to the pot, add the onions and fry for about 10 minutes, stir occasionally.

Add garlic and roots and fry until liquid is evaporated. Stir in tomato paste and stir-fry for a further minute. Season to taste.

Pour in the stock, bring to a short boil, reduce the heat and braise for about 2 hours. Stir occasionally.

Add parsley and serve with potatoes or pasta and a green bean salad or green beans baked in butter.
