Tempura Vegetables
| For frying either use the Recipe for Tempura Batter or use: | |
| 115 g | corn starch |
| 60 g | self-raising flour |
| 120 ml | water |
| 1 large | egg(s), beaten |
| Vegetables: | |
| 2 medium | zucchini |
| 1 medium | onion(s) |
| 2 | red bell peppers |
| vegetable oil | |
| salt |
Method
For the batter:
Mix corn starch, flour and water in a large bowl. Add water and egg and mix until smooth.
Vegetables:
Cut all vegetables into small pieces. Pour oil into a large pan. Dip vegeatbles into batter and fry in batches until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt.
