Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients per portions

40 g butter
small onion(s), finely chopped
clove(s) garlic, crushed
tsp fresh ginger, grated
tsp red whine vinegar
140 ml water
tsp French mustard
tsp brown sugar
tsp tomato paste
tsp soy sauce, light


Method

Heat butter in a pan. Add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is soft. Stir in ginger, vinegar, water, mustard, brown sugar, tomato paste and soy sauce. Bring to boil. Simmer, uncovered, until slightly thickened.

Sauce can be prepared a day ahead.
