Hi important question

Is it possible to create sub categories in my cookbook?

For example Main category = Starters
Sub category 1 = Fish
Sub category 2 = Soups

Or do i need to name each category individually to achieve this?

For example Category = Starters, Fish
Category = Starters, Soups

For example Category = Starters, Fish

Hi Les,

If you have searched for a recipe and you just click the "save" button that recipe gets saved automatically into the "Main Category" folder.

www.cooksunited.co.uk/mycook/mycookbook/

If you click on the category administration button you get here www.cooksunited.co.uk/mycook/mycookbook/categories/

Here you can delete, move, copy and add new categories, which effectively become your sub categories to the Main Category which can never be deleted (only the contents). The other categories can be deleted, renamed etc. So the naming, moving, copying is really your own invention or you own administration, the way it suits you best.

If you then search for a recipe and click on the "save to" button, a window opens where you can select the catgory you would like to save the recipe to. So that would be your sub categories. Again, if you just click "save" the recipe gets saved to the Main Category.

Does this make sense?
