When you seed you carrots hop hop hop in you garden add between some parsley it will keep the worms away !
Mix the carrot seed with parsley seed .

Hi Claudia,

mixing carrots and onions - row by row - or an odd garlic bulb
here and there does the trick as well.

Cheers Che

Hello!

I have heard that planting Marigolds and Carrots together will keep the carrot flies away. Haven't tried it myself though.

My neighbour puts large (2L) plastic bottles around his garden - lying down-. He swears that it works well for keeping cats away. Reminds me : Policeman in Trafalgar Square sees old gent scattering powder. " What are you doing that for?" he asked. "It keeps the elephants away", replied the old boy. "I've never seen any elephants round here", said the policeman. "Yes, it's pretty effective isn't it?" came the reply. Another dodge is toplant catmint around the garden. Cats head straightr for it. Trouble is, they're still there. I suppose that makes them easy to shoot or chuck bricks at and that can't be bad, can it? Eddystone

Worms eating the Microorganism and transfer it to good Compost. When you have Worms in your Garden, by Happy, that is the best Police for you Garden.

Hello Avery,

welcome to CU. Unfortunately this is not the right place or thread for your subject. I've seen you already opened another thread under the correct heading.

Hi Avery,

Reading all your strictures about what we have to give up to please you, reminds me of the joke of the man who went to see his doctor and said "Doctor, I have been reading all the advice from these experts who say that if reduce or limit refined carbohydrates and sugar intake, avoid caffeine and other stimulants, limit dairy products and red meat, give up alcohol and chasing the opposite sex, we will live a lot longer - is it true?"

"Well," said the Doctor "It may do, but it will as sure as hell seem a lot longer..........."

This is a cookery site, not a health club. Don't you find your diet is very boring? Boiled Lentil Burgers and all that? Do share the recipe with us........
