Hello,

if you have a steel sink like I do, forget all those expensive cleaning agents the industry is throwing on the market these days.

My nanna taught me this: Simply use a teaspoon of plain ol' washing powder and hot water and your sink will be clean and shiny like on the first day laughing

CU,

kat

Hi kat,

pure soda ash (sodium carbonate) does the trick as well,
also good for the old brown teapot 'n mug.

April and Kat

Just try baking soda, that's what it's call across the pond. And if you have a white porcelain sink, try a little dishwasher powder.

I know you should clean a mirror with shaving foam to stop it from steaming up when you have a bath/shower.

I tend to use highly concentrated vinegar escpecially for the case that the sink is polluted with chalk. You will not find any sufficient cleanser out there that does the job in case of chalk pollution. You should have at least an 80% vinegar. Dilute it with water first.

I fill my sink with hot water and add some bleach or Domestos. Leave it for 10 minutes and the sink is like new. Better than stainless steel cleansers without the scrubbing.

The best natural way is to use hot water, if the stains are strong then use the detergent. Vinegar can also be used, but personally i hate the smell mhmmmh hmmhmhmmmmhhh

jannereeves,
I detest the vinegary smell as well.

I use formic acid instead, no smell, but efficient. It's the venom of bee and ant stings, and bought cheaply in Drugstores.

Make use of vinegar for cleaning sink. It is the best and cheapest way to do cleaning. Vinegar has good cleaning properties and you should use it
