Biscuit??

Sainsbury's used Nectar data to find out what was the most frequently bought biscuit and their league table of 141 million packets came up with:

1. Digestives
2. Cookies
3. Jammie Dodgers (Jam rings)
4. Chocolate fingers
5. Rich teas

So what is your favourite? I'm a sucker for anything with chocolate, but love those Bahlsen biscuits as the real treat!

where is...

Sorry, but we do not buy any biscuits... we make them ourselves.

But for me they have to be without chocolate. Jam filled ones are yummy! So your jam rings from the list would be the ones for me, if... we would ever buy any.

greets Dia

I like those Bahlsen biscuits best as well. There are many variations of Bahlsen biscuits and I love those filled with orange jam, covered with a thin layer of chocolate. I could eat them all day long. I would even skip breakfast, lunch and dinner for having enough af that stuff. Isn't Bahlsen a swiss company, well known in the world for its famous biscuits?

I love eating biscuits when I watch TV or when I am on computer watching movies or playing games. Hide & Seek is my favorite biscuit as its made of cadbury and there are small pieces of cadbury chocolates on the surface of it. Waffer biscuits is also my favorite, its not much creamy and it taste like cream.

"Nullus propheta in patria - Der Prophet gilt nichts in seinem Vaterlande".
Nullus est instar domus.
Bahlsen-Kekse are really German: but starting from the Leibniz Keks to Princes'Roll, Russian Bread, Java...
I don't like them - they are far too fat & sweet.

I enjoy making cookies, American style, but with less sugar.
I buy cookies from Scandinavia (okay, a lot of Ikea) with oats.
When I read about Chocolate Digestives, it's a laugh - on me.
I do like them, but consider them as ridiculous if I want/need a digestive, I eat a carrot or an apple.

Cheers, April

Hi April,

Apparently Digestive biscuits originally got their name because the early recipes contained baking soda, which was considered good for digestion and the name stuck. As you can see from my original post, the Sainsburys survey had digestives as the number one choice, and I must admit our biscuit box is never without them, although the dark chocolate variety is more common that the plain, but there again, he who does the shopping controls the inventory!!

A recent favourite we have added to our biscuit boxes ( yep, got to admit it, we now have two!) has been those Lotus biscuits you often get in little packets when you buy a coffee in a cafe. They have started selling them in packets in the supermarkets..........

Now where has that biscuit box gone?..........

A where is...
