Hello everybody,

today we will have an old and odd dish which I know from my stepfather, who was born in Transsylvania: Klausenburger Kraut. A casserole with rice, sauerkraut and minced meat. Recipe will be in the database tomorrow - hopefully oi! .

Regards
Heidi

Wow Heidi!

That sounds very "interesting"............ I shall look out for the recipe - no strange after effects, I hope.........

Boring "2" day for me. slice of toast with tomato, sprinkle of pecorino and1 bowl of Lentil soup!

Oh my - I had to change my plan. Found in the freezer just a 1 kg pack of minced meat, too much for today. Recipe for the database comes anyway and for sure I will cook it on Sunday for the crowd.

Today it will be the oven baked lamb with vegetables with mainly winter vegetables, as carrot, potato and leek. But I have also one bell pepper and 2 tomatoes and with a handful of black olives this will give extra flavour.

Good afternoon,

Heidi, I'm looking forward to that Sauerkraut recipe, in particular in connection with rice oh well
Androcles, I am getting fed up with you always having lentil soup oi!

About my own plans I'm still not quite sure yet. I1ll go shopping in the afternoon and hope to be able to get some cod which is not always easy to obtain in Spain but recently it's been possible from time to time. If not, the I'll get another piece of fish. It will be accompanied by beetroot as a vegetable or perhaps as a salad.

For lunch I've just had another big bowl of my lovely chicken soup.

Regards,
Angelika

Heidi, a question concerning your lamb recipe. Is the meat really nice and tender after 40 minutes in the oven?

Angelika,

oh yes, it is! It is lamb, not mutton. Every now and then I would like to have a piece of mutton, but it is nearly impossible to get some.

I always thought in Spain you can easily get any fish! I remember an overwhelming fishmarket in Tarifa, where I regretted that we stayed in a hotel and not in a holiday flat where I could have cooked the fish.
