Good morning,

a clear cold day here, but the sun promises to warm my cold place a t the PC in the winter garden.

I just took some haddock out of the freezer (I live so far away from the sea, that I usually prefer frozen saltwater fish) and will cook the haddock with caper sauce, accompanied by rice and a cucumber salad.

Have a nice day!

Good Morning, Heidi,

You seem to eat cucumber salad quite a lot - is the recipe in the database?

Not decided what we are having yet. It is our weekly village market today, so will go over and see what looks good.

Tell you later!

Just been to the Village Market - I don't know how those stall holders keep going in the vicious cold wind currently blowing!

We found some beansprouts, so it could be a Chinese tonight, chicken or prawns, sweet and sour perhaps.

Also bought another four pounds of seville oranges, so more marmalade to be made.

Had a cheat's lunch today - as we had a load of marmalade to make.

I got a commercial packet cup-a-soup, Spicy butternut and poshed it up with a small tin of butterbeans and a teaspoon of Rogon Josh Curry paste. It worked - even the Management said it was not too bad - praise indeed!

Definitely Chinese tonight but got a shock about the Beansprouts - see my separate post. Here

They will be well cooked - don't need that as a problem!

Best wishes,

A.

We had baked sweet potatoes today (Jacket Potato style). In the evening though - after work. My daughter loves them and by now she is even old enough to place them in the oven before I come home. So all I needed to do was to prepare the topping/filling. Sweet`n easy. Let's cook baby!

Hi all,

I was very undecided what to do today.

In the end, I made a soup with onions, carrots and tomatos today for lunch.
This evening there was home-made pizza with onions, red peppers, tuna, salami and chorizo, Emmental and Cheddar cheese.
